Long sections of new concrete in Calhoun County are the latest pictures by Fort Dodge photographers so show of progress toward completing U.S. Highway 20 as a four-lane route all the way across northern Iowa.But as their goal inches closer to reality, members of the U.S. 20 Corridor Association are beginning to worry that newly introduced projects will take away some of the money needed to finish the four-lane job.When the group met Friday morning in Sac City, Tony Lazarowicz, a district engineer for the Iowa Department of Transportation, provided an update on the highway widening job.
